Job summary
Vertex, a global biotechnology company, seeks a Senior Director of Innovation and Business Transformation to lead technology-enabled transformation across Medical Writing Science. The role partners with enterprise technology to translate vision into priorities, roadmaps, and executable initiatives, driving adoption and value realization.
The position requires deep experience in life sciences transformation, strong leadership, and the ability to influence enterprise capability roadmaps.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, technology-enabled transformation, or related field.
- 5 years of leadership experience building, leading, and developing teams and/or transformation capabilities in complex matrixed organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, engineering, or equivalent discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Translate the transformation vision into strategic priorities, roadmaps and executable initiatives.
- Anticipate external technology trends and translate into strategic opportunities for MWS.
- Lead strategy execution and operating effectiveness across Innovation and Business Transformation, allocating resources and investment decisions.
- Champion knowledge management, data utilization, and end-to-end clinical regulatory and publication workflows.
