Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) in Alexandria, VA (hybrid) seeks a Senior Development Director, Affordable Housing to lead a cross-functional development team through LIHTC transactions and complex financing from inception to hand-off to operations.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, financial analysis, due diligence, policy research, site selection, and entitlements to drive organization-wide impact.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required with graduate degree preferred.
• Eight years’ related experience in affordable housing development or housing finance.
• Experience leading project teams and closing LIHTC transactions preferred.
• Excellent project management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop strategic direction with the Regional VP and VOANS affiliates for target areas.
• Lead internal and external teams through due diligence, entitlements, and closings.
• Perform financial analysis using Excel and manage funding applications (LIHTC, tax credits, bonds).
• Oversee construction, draws, and transition to operations with cross-functional teams.
