Suffolk University seeks a Senior Director of Advancement Services to lead the Advancement Services team and steward data integrity across the fundraising database, Raiser’s Edge NXT. The role oversees gifts processing, reporting, data mining and standards compliance, partnering with ITS, Finance and Institutional Research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; technical training in systems and fundraising protocol.
• Master's Degree in a related field desirable.
• Eight+ years of progressive Advancement database management experience.
• Experience with complex relational databases used in higher education fundraising; knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
• Proficiency with Tableau and other data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of fundraising policies (IRS, CASE, CAE).
• Ability to develop training materials and administer policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of five FTE staff in Advancement Services.
• Oversee the 150,000-record Raiser’s Edge NXT database and related data processes.
• Lead data entry, gifts processing, acknowledgments, and report production.
• Develop new business processes in Raiser’s Edge NXT and ensure data integrity.
• Create, analyze and distribute lists and reports to support fundraising and alumni outreach.
• Coordinate with ITS and other university offices to meet information needs.
