Raymond James is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Policy and Technical Accounting Leader in the St. Petersburg area. The role focuses on policy development, research, and guidance for complex transactions and new products within U.S.

GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a CPA and 10+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting exposure and acquisition accounting. This hybrid role collaborates across Finance, Legal, Tax, and Product teams and interfaces with external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA required.
• Minimum 10 years accounting experience; public accounting preferred.
• Experience in technical accounting research and accounting policy development.
• Experience with acquisition accounting preferred. Financial services industry experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead accounting policy development, maintenance, and governance for U.S. GAAP.
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare memoranda and position papers.
• Assess accounting implications of new products, initiatives, and acquisitions.
• Coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting matters and provide guidance to Finance leadership.
• Lead and mentor the technical accounting team and partner with cross-functional leaders.
