Job summary

Raymond James seeks a Tax Senior Accountant to act as a corporate tax generalist, supporting state tax compliance, audits, notices, and ASC 740 provisions. The role involves tax research, reconciliations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will lead defined projects, respond to notices, and help improve tax processes. Occasional travel to Corporate Headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL; remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in tax accounting and compliance, preferably with a portion at a public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with state audit requests and coordinate with state auditors on tax issues.
• Support technology improvement processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Research IRS and state regulations and implications for transactions.
• Prepare and review work papers related to federal/state tax compliance.
• Review federal/state income tax returns and tracking of extensions.
• Supervise and analyze state apportionment and allocation work papers.
• Prepare quarterly/annual income tax provision and disclosures.
