Job Overview

The Sr Director of Account Management provides strategic and operational leadership to a team of account executives, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. This role collaborates across functions for strategic alignment and execution of client priorities.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the account management team; serve as escalation point and issue resolver.
  2. Develop processes and tracking to monitor performance, prevent issues, and ensure operational efficiency.
  3. Maintain relationships with clients and internal teams; maximize client satisfaction, renewals, and product adoption.
  4. Establish relationships with cross-functional partners; develop and implement strategic plans and communication strategies.
  5. Lead contract negotiations, pricing, and participate in RFPs and project implementations.
  6. Manage the account team’s workload and strategic alignment.
  7. Facilitate strategic discussions with clients to identify growth opportunities.
  8. Oversee budgets, revenue goals, staffing, and team development; support team members and resolve employee issues.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • 8+ years in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management client services, preferably Medicaid.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
  • Industry expertise in PBM, pharmacy trends, Medicaid benefits.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, conflict resolution, and influence skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Leadership experience in team building and strategic planning.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and develop solutions.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and leading process improvements.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Travel up to 30%.
  • Availability for outside standard hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Physical ability to sit, handle, reach, stand, walk, and lift as specified.

Potential salary range: $143,000 - $243,000 based on experience.
