Job summary

Jobgether is recruiting a Sr. Director, Assistant General Counsel (Consumer Litigation & Regulatory) on behalf of a partner company.

The role leads litigation strategy and regulatory response for consumer financial products within a fintech setting, offering visibility and ownership over major legal initiatives. Remote-first in the United States, the position requires a JD, active bar membership, and 12+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 12+ years of legal experience focused on consumer financial services litigation and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation strategy across consumer litigation, class actions, arbitrations, and regulatory investigations.
• Partner with external counsel on defense strategies, case management, discovery, and budget.
• Develop scalable frameworks for litigation holds, document management, and regulatory response procedures.
• Advise executives and board on legal risks, regulatory developments, and business implications.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product, Risk, and Operations to mitigate risks.
