Job summary

MK Search & Selection partners with a major US data centre infrastructure company to appoint a Senior Director of Construction for a landmark hyperscale data centre campus in Texas. The role requires site-based leadership, overseeing the on-site team and coordination across design, engineering, procurement and commissioning functions.

The successful candidate will drive delivery across multi-phase campuses, ensure safety and quality standards, and report progress to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior construction leadership positions within hyperscale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre developments as a senior contractor leader.
• Experience taking overall responsibility for major construction projects or multi-phase campus developments.
• Strong understanding of complex construction programmes, including CSA, MEP, critical infrastructure and commissioning interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for construction delivery across a major, multi-phase hyperscale data centre campus.
• Act as the owner's senior construction representative, providing leadership and oversight of appointed general contractors and delivery partners.
• Lead, develop and manage the owner's on-site construction delivery team.
• Oversee construction execution from preconstruction and mobilisation through to commissioning, completion and handover.
• Drive performance against programme milestones, construction budgets, quality standards and safety objectives.
• Establish effective governance, reporting structures and performance management processes across the construction programme.
• Coordinate with internal design, engineering, commercial, procurement and commissioning teams to ensure alignment across all delivery activities.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks, programme constraints and critical delivery interfaces.
• Manage relationships with senior representatives of general contractors, consultants, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on construction progress, risks, performance and programme delivery.

MK Search & Selection is partnering with a major US data centre infrastructure company established to develop and deliver long-term hyperscale capacity for one of the world's leading technology companies.

The organisation is embarking on a landmark, multi-GW development programme comprising four major data centre campuses across the United States.

As the programme moves into its construction delivery phase, the business is seeking to appoint a Senior Director of Construction to lead the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre campus in Texas.

Reporting directly to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), the Senior Director of Construction will assume overall responsibility for construction delivery across a major, multi-phase hyperscale data centre campus.

Acting as the owner's senior construction representative, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across the construction programme, overseeing appointed general contractors, internal project teams, consultants and key delivery partners.

The position requires an experienced construction leader capable of managing complex, large-scale hyperscale developments, maintaining accountability for programme execution, construction performance, safety, quality and delivery milestones.

This is a predominantly site-based leadership position in Granbury, Texas, requiring a hands-on approach to construction delivery.
