Job description

This is an opportunity to join a leading data center developer and operator that owns and operates 50+ campuses across North America. Backed by one of the world's leading infrastructure investment platforms, the business is investing heavily into new hyperscale and colocation developments, supporting one of the industry's largest active growth pipelines with multiple gigawatts of future capacity under development.

The company is seeking a Director, Construction Management to lead and develop a regional construction organization responsible for the delivery of a major Oklahoma campus expected to exceed 1GW of IT capacity. This individual will oversee a team of ~10 construction professionals while supporting a portfolio of 6-14 concurrent projects across various stages of development.

This is first and foremost a leadership hire. The successful candidate will be responsible for building culture, developing talent, establishing accountability, and creating the operational foundation needed to support substantial future growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Construction Managers and construction professionals
  • Oversee the delivery of 6-14 concurrent projects across a major hyperscale data center campus
  • Drive project execution from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover
  • Build organizational capability, culture, and operating rhythms within the Oklahoma construction platform
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Manage relationships with general contractors, design partners, consultants, vendors, utilities, and AHJs
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasting, contract administration, and commercial performance
  • Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams
  • Develop scalable processes and best practices capable of supporting future campus expansion
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 12+ years of construction experience within large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center environments
  • Proven experience leading and developing construction teams and people managers
  • Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects and complex construction portfolios
  • Experience within data centers is highly preferred
  • Industries such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, advanced manufacturing, energy, or other highly regulated mission-critical industries is considered
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Experience managing contractor and consultant relationships across major capital projects
  • Exposure to MEP-intensive projects and mission-critical environments highly preferred
