Job summary

InCommunity seeks a Direct Support Professional II (DSP II) in Marietta, GA to deliver person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include ISP implementation, ADLs, medication support, safety, and community inclusion.

You will work as part of a team, mentor DSP staff, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure compliance with DBHDD, CARF, Medicaid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of direct support experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certification required or obtainable within timeframe.
• DSP II Certification through approved program or NADSP-aligned credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered services promoting choice, dignity and independence.
• Assist with ISPs, Behavior Support Plans, and risk mitigation.
• Teach ADLs such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene and money management.
• Provide one-to-one supports per approved service plans.
• Encourage community participation reflecting individual interests and culture.
• Assist with medications and document administration per policy.
• Monitor well-being and report concerns promptly.
• Transport and accompany to medical appointments in organization vehicle.
• Maintain documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
