Job summary

WellCare Homes is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) to supervise and support Direct Support Professionals in a residential care setting. You will assist with care plans, behavioral support, and daily operations while ensuring health, safety, and resident dignity.

The role requires coordination with management to oversee shifts, staff training, and compliance with Title 17/22 and company policies. This non-exempt, hourly position offers full-time hours and overtime per law.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain RBT or QBMP/LPT certification within required timelines.
• DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance and health/TB clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• CA driver’s license with clean driving record and insurability required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support DSPs during shifts to ensure quality resident care.
• Provide direct care assistance with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Assist with resident IPP, IBSP, IEIP, and Health Care Plan implementation.
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to management.
• Assist with medication self-administration per policy and regulation.
• Transport residents for medical appointments and activities using company vehicles.
