Job summary

Community Services, Inc. is hiring Lead Direct Support Professionals (LDSPs) to provide care for individuals with disabilities. This full-time day shift (Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00 am–4:00 pm) offers opportunities to promote independence and person-centered support.

LDSPs will work with interdisciplinary teams, support life skills, accompany clients to events, and participate in ongoing training while upholding regulations and policies. We value equity and inclusive workplaces.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
One year of prior experience as a DSP.
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Lead DSP positions require a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Acceptable background check.

Responsibilities

Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.
Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings.
Assist in the management of personal finances and review of documentation for the individuals in your care.
Lead DSPs share on-call responsibilities with the location supervisor.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
Implement behavior support plans and promote positive social interactions.
Provide person-centered services, supports and advocacy in positive environments.
Contribute to training and professional development opportunities.
