Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete DOJ/FBI Live Scan fingerprint clearance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• Completion of health screening and TB clearance per California Title 22.
• Must meet Title 17/Title 22 licensing/training requirements.
• Must complete DSP training requirements or pass challenge test.
• Must obtain/maintain RBT certification if applicable.
• Team players who are patient, professional, reliable, and committed to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, grooming, mobility, meals, and personal care.
• Document changes in health, behavior, safety, and progress.
• Maintain confidential documentation and medication logs.
• Safely transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Implement behavior support plans and emergency procedures.
• Prepare meals per dietary guidelines and keep home clean/safe.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; maintain professional boundaries.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and independence.
• Handle funds and records as required by policy.
