Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Supervisor for Direct Lending in hybrid Sacramento. The role leads consumer lending, ensures compliance, analyzes complex loan applications, and develops staff performance while building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

You will oversee underwriting procedures, staff payroll, and performance appraisals, driving service excellence and adherence to credit culture across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years in consumer lending in a judgmental lending environment where LOS is used as a guide to make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality control and risk assessments to maintain operational and credit risk controls.
• Administer, process, and maintain staff payroll, scheduling, and performance reports.
• Ensure superior service to staff, external partners, and members by monitoring and improving service.
• Maintain understanding of laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including AML.
• Foster a positive work environment and coach for improvement and growth.
• Collaborate across internal departments and external groups.
• Lead and mentor staff; measure performance against credit culture.
• Develop enhancements to business models to meet strategic goals.
• Review complex loan applications and approve/deny based on underwriting policies.
