Job summary

Amwins Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst - Direct Bill to support management in safeguarding assets through AR transactions, reconciliations, and applying funds. This role reports to the Direct Bill Leadership Team and collaborates with internal and external clients to uphold service quality.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent), AR/ Cash Application experience, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in accounting processes (Cash Application/Accounts Receivable).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize in a high-volume environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external clients.
• Experience in Insurance Industry accounting, processes, and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, apply, and manage a workload of incoming UAC and Direct Bill statements.
• Request direct bill commission invoicing per protocol.
• Monitor and respond promptly to direct bill commission inquiries from clients.
• Collaborate with leadership to handle broker inquiries.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in subledger/AR Workbooks with clients and staff.
• Process adjustments and write-offs within authorized thresholds.
• Escalate aged items per protocol; mentor staff and host team trainings.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and developing business metrics.
