Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Designated Institutional Official to lead the organization's Graduate Medical Education efforts. The DIO will work within the Chief Academic Office to shape the mission, align educational initiatives with CAO directives, and advance academic excellence across residency and fellowship programs.

The role requires MD with 8–10 years of progressive leadership in medical education and a track record in program leadership.

Qualifications

• MD is required.
• At least 8–10 years of progressive leadership in medical education.
• Experience with ACGME accreditation or similar standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for Graduate Medical Education aligned with CAO directives.
• Provide visionary leadership in design, delivery, and evaluation of GME programs; oversee all ACGME-accredited residencies and fellowships.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME standards and requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with department chairs, program directors, and faculty.
• Ensure education programs meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for education programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned in compliance with policies and standards.
