Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Designated Institutional Official (DIO) to oversee graduate medical education across assigned markets. You will ensure accreditation, regulatory compliance, and financial viability while coordinating with residents, faculty, and teaching sites.

You will lead program development, monitor AIR/CLER activities, and collaborate with executive leadership to align education goals with Prime’s strategic vision. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Education, Health Care, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in Graduate Medical Education.
• Two or more years of hospital and leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AIR, CLER, self-studies and data management.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; leadership abilities; proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with New Innovations residency management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain educational quality and accreditation standards for GME.
• Serve as liaison between ACGME, residents/fellows, teaching faculty, GME Office and sites.
• Develop, establish and oversee residency programs in assigned market.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and achieve operational/financial goals.
• Collaborate with CUSM to advance medical education goals.
