Job summary

Washburn County is seeking a Dining Site Manager / Cook in a LTE or Substitute role to coordinate congregate and home-delivered meals. You will supervise meal service, ensure sanitation, and support nutrition program activities under the director’s guidance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, quantity-food handling experience, sanitation training, ServSafe within 90 days, and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Physical duties and data records management are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a standard high school course or equivalent; training in quantity food handling and preparation.
• Course in food service sanitation; ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform hands-on kitchen tasks.
• Must follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safe and sanitary service of congregate and carryout meals.
• Coordinate nutrition program activities at the dining site.
• Order, purchase and cook food on a quantity basis.
• Maintain program data records and prepare production calculations.
• Provide customer service, outreach, and feedback to participants.
• Schedule and supervise staff or volunteers; ensure safety of meal service locations.
