In this role, you will assist with meal preparation and service, maintain sanitation, and work closely with dietary, nursing, and care staff to support residents’ nutritional needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Dietary Aide or food service experience required (healthcare or long-term care preferred).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plans and facility menus.
• Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
• Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays and dining room service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with state and facility regulations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment following safe food-handling procedures.
• Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory and storage as needed.
• Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and care staff to support residents’ nutritional needs.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
