Job summary

The Woodland in Farmville, VA is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our dining services for residents. You will prepare and serve meals, ensure impeccable sanitation, and contribute to a warm, nourishing dining experience.

Ideal candidates have prior dietary aide experience, understand safety guidelines, and can work in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in meal preparation according to instructions using cookware and appliances.
• Friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Physical fitness and stamina for a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of dietary manager or cook, ensuring safety.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms and times.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean, wash dishes, cooking equipment and silverware.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
