Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English for safety and patient care.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Verification of TB test (TST) required by state law and policy.

Responsibilities

• Puts customer service first and ensures high-quality service to residents and families.
• Maintains clean, sanitary work areas and follows cleaning procedures.
• Performs warewashing: scrapes, washes, stores dishes; monitors temperatures and sanitizers.
• Operates equipment safely and reports malfunctions.
• Removes and disposes trash from work areas.
• Assists with basic food preparation and portioning.
• Supports meal distribution including assembly, delivery and collection.
• Sets up, cleans up and stores food, supplies, and dishware for service.
• Prepares resident food requests and nourishments as assigned.
• Stocks foods and supplies and rotates stock for freshness.
• Adheres to Food and Nutrition Services policies and procedures.
• Observes safety protocols to minimize risk and follows disaster plans.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
