Job summary

Inspired Living at Ocoee is seeking an experienced Cook to support our Restaurant and Hospitality Department. The role ensures high-quality meals, adherence to special diets, and compliant food safety practices in the community dining room.

The Cook reports to the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality and collaborates with staff to maintain excellent resident experiences during meals, while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements and adheres to diets offered by management.
• Ensures foods are prepared to residents' satisfaction and in accordance with safe food handling practices.
• Maintains food temperatures and timing in storage, production, and serving per food safety standards.
• Provides input on new hires and training within the dietary department.
• Maintains a clean kitchen and safe working environment.
• Contributes to positive resident experiences during meal times and dining service.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
