Job summary

Milton Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to manage food production and ensure safety in a 138-bed facility. You will prepare meals, follow dietary guidelines, and support residents with nutritious dining experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of food prep experience in healthcare or hospitality, and possess strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience in a restaurant, hotel, or healthcare setting.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

Meal preparation and serving high-quality meals according to recipes and menus.
Follow dietary modifications and nutritional guidelines as ordered for residents (e.g., low sodium, mechanical soft).
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to local health department regulations and food safety standards.
Stock, rotate, and date products using FIFO methods.
Collaborate with the Dining Services Coordinator and dietary aides to ensure timely meal delivery and service.
