Job summary

Rich Square Manor and Villa is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious meals to residents. You will help prep, portion, and serve meals according to dietary plans, while supporting cleanliness and food safety in a collaborative kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, a background in food service is a plus, and a genuine compassion for elder care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a food service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation and cleanliness: maintain kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup, serving, and dining experience.
• Food safety: follow storage, handling, and sanitation protocols to ensure safety.
• Inventory support: assist receiving/storing food, monitor shortages, notify Dietary Manager.
• Team collaboration: work with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen/dining operations.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and respect individual preferences.
