Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans.
• Sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide meal assistance and positive dining experience to residents.
• Follow food safety protocols for storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory support: assist with receiving, storing, and notifying shortages.
• Collaborate with dietary team to ensure smooth service.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and residents' preferences.
