Seven Lakes Assisted Living in Carrboro, NC seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents.

You will support meal service, follow dietary plans, maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensure food safety, and work closely with staff to create a positive dining experience for residents. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a food service role preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance and help with setup, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols for proper storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food, check inventory, and notify shortages or needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to keep the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly.
• Resident Engagement: Assist with special dietary requests and residents’ preferences during meals.
