Job summary

Lotus Village Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sparta, NC seeks a dependable Dietary Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You’ll assist with meals, snacks, and resident-centered service, ensuring safety and hospitality in daily dining operations.

Responsibilities include meal prep, serving, and maintaining records of resident dietary needs while upholding sanitation standards and collaborating with dietary and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas, meals, trays, and beverages according to menus and residents’ dietary orders.
• Become familiar with menu items and provide friendly, helpful service to residents and guests.
• Serve meals and items while following dietary guidelines and facility procedures.
• Respond to residents’ dining needs while maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Prepare and deliver snacks and nourishments as directed.
• Gather food, beverages, and supplies needed for meal service.
• Maintain accurate records of residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and handling regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and safety in the dietary department.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary and nursing teams to provide excellent service.
