Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to lead field surveys and laser scanning for industrial facilities in Baton Rouge, LA. You will mentor staff, review technical work, and coordinate with engineering teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in land surveying, Professional Land Surveyor registration, and strong proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS, Cyclone, AutoCAD, and Carlson Software.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Surveying or Geomatics is required.
• Bachelor degree in Surveying/Geomatics from an accredited university is preferred.
• Professional Land Surveyor registration is required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in land surveying and CAD is required.
• Firm knowledge of survey standards and codes; knowledge of local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily survey activities to meet client and project goals.
• Supervise Survey Technicians in processing field data and preparing surveys, plats, and revisions.
• Ensure survey work meets standards and quality expectations; perform QA/QC on project work.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and government agencies; establish construction control points and legal descriptions.
