Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant for its Digital PMO practice to design, configure, and optimize capital project and portfolio management solutions. You will mentor teams, shape engagements, and act as a trusted advisor to clients on complex transformation initiatives.

Lead engagements, drive measurable impact, build strong client relationships, and contribute to business development while advancing digital PMO capabilities across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent project and portfolio management system skills.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, teamwork, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and on-site work environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including critical path items.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements focused on capital project and portfolio management technology.
• Develop and design technical solutions, including cost estimates, project approaches, and schedules.
• Provide technical leadership for project and portfolio management system implementations.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control for all deliverables, aligning with client needs and project standards.
• Guide the development of improved business processes within project and portfolio management systems.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through project delivery and business development support.
• Bring domain expertise to cross-functional teams and drive innovation initiatives in project management technology.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.
