Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Santa Clara site is hiring a Principal Project Manager (Digital) – Shockwave Medical to drive digital transformation projects in a medical device environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage digital system implementations, and deliver value through rigorous project governance and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in digital PM, 5+ years in medical devices, and strong leadership, communication, and process-improvement skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in science, engineering or business administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 10+ years of digital project management experience and at least 5 years of project management experience in the medical device industry.
• 5+ years leading medical device enterprise software with a strong grasp of Quality System Management industry requirements.
• 5+ years managing enterprise system implementation teams and/or implementation vendors.
• Project Management specific training and/or certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring process improvement initiatives, project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Ability to work under multiple deadlines with a cooperative team.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional activities within the project per company processes and IT deployment best practices.
• Lead project planning, risk management, and communication across all levels.
• Run multiple parallel projects with matrixed governance.
• Oversee digital transformation project phases from problem statement to value realization.
• Publish dashboards and reports on project progress, risk and achievements.
• Deliver formal communications and presentations.
• Mentor other Project Managers as needed.
• Develop reusable tools and materials for digital project delivery and change management.
