Senior Digital Planner Buyer

Job Summary
The Senior Digital Planner Buyer is responsible for the planning, negotiation, and placement of digital media for assigned clients, in addition to new business projects as needed. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise across digital channels, paired with a strong working knowledge of the broader media ecosystem, including traditional channels, in order to build fully integrated, cross-channel campaign strategies.
Duties/Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Lead strategic digital media planning and buying across display, video, paid social, SEM, and programmatic, managing sizable budgets.
- Build integrated campaign strategies that incorporate traditional channels (TV, OTT, radio, streaming radio, rich media) alongside digital tactics.
- Perform market research to evaluate target audiences and identify optimal channel mix and delivery methods.
- Negotiate favorable terms across digital media deals.
- Use data and analytics to inform planning, targeting, and budget decisions.
AdOps & Analytics
- Build and QA tags and triggers in Google Tag Manager to ensure accurate tracking across campaigns.
- Configure and maintain Meta Events Manager for accurate conversion and audience signal capture.
- Set up custom conversion actions and pull performance reports from Google Analytics.
- Identify and resolve data gaps across the customer journey to maintain measurement integrity.
Campaign Management & Reporting
- Ensure campaigns run on strategy, on budget, and with the correct creative message.
- Monitor accuracy of ordered media and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage buys, billing, and invoicing through Advantage; track buys in Google Campaign Manager.
- Manage job allocation and timelines through Workamajig.
- Provide client reporting on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Advanced proficiency with digital media platforms, including Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Campaign Manager.
- Hands‑on experience with paid social advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn) and programmatic buying tools.
- Working knowledge of traditional media planning and buying (TV, radio, OTT) sufficient to contribute to fully integrated campaign strategies.
- Proficiency with MacOS, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Advantage experience preferred, not required.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills, with an emphasis on data interpretation.

- Foster strong relationships with key media partners.
- Successfully collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

- The Work: Works within the media team to set integrated campaign strategies, leading with digital expertise while working across both digital and traditional mediums.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Digital media buying experience: 4 years.
