Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Principal Digital Engineer to architect, design and implement digital/mixed-signal ICs. You will collaborate with teams across the US and China, delivering high-quality silicon on time and within cost targets.

You will handle design documentation, silicon evaluation, debugging and production test development, while contributing to technology requirements for future products.

Qualifications

• Education: MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant industry experience, or BSEE with 12+ years.
• Experience in SOC architecture, bus interfaces and protocols (USB, I2C/I3C, SPI, UART).
• Knowledge of embedded memories: SRAM, OTP, MTP and flash memory.
• Hands-on in chip architecture definition, RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, DFT and timing check.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; AI-savvy; Mandarin a plus.
• DDR DRAM and mixed-signal experience preferred; project management skills valued.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement digital and mixed-signal ICs.
• Lead development with cross-site teams in the US and China.
• Produce design documentation, silicon evaluation, and production test support.
• Support customers and applications; define future technology requirements.
