Top Echelon Software, LLC. in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology team.

You will lead digital hardware development, design FPGAs, multi-layer PCBs, and integrate high-speed interfaces within a multidisciplinary engineering group.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of digital hardware experience, proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, and willingness to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes, logic and spectrum analyzers.
• Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, schematics, and support layout.
• Architect FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms.
• Hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition, DSP, and comms architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle.
