City of Peoria, Arizona seeks a Digital Forensics Unit Detective with at least 3 years of DFU experience, capable of recovering, analyzing, and preserving electronic evidence. The role includes working either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 0700–1700, with on-call weeks and patrol overtime as needed.

Applicants must be able to complete DFU Detective training, participate in selection processes, and may advance through Patrol if probationary requirements are not met.

Qualifications

• Highly qualified applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Digital Forensics Unit (DFU) Detective, recovering, analyzing, and preserving electronic evidence, and will either currently be working in the role or have worked in the role within the last 12 months.

Responsabilités

• DFU Detectives currently work either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, normally 0700 to 1700.
• On‑call assignments currently average one week per month.
• All Detectives are currently required to assist with filling staffing shortages in Patrol. Assignments are based on Department seniority and require Detectives to work occasional overtime shifts in Patrol.
