Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ Police Department seeks an experienced Digital Forensics Unit Detective to join the DFU. You will recover, analyze, and preserve electronic evidence, applying case management and investigative techniques.

This position requires at least three years of DFU Detective experience, with duties including on-call staffing in Patrol, occasional overtime, and participation in the selection process. The department offers training, a Detective FTO path, and a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as a DFU Detective recovering, analyzing, and preserving electronic evidence.
• Experience within the last 12 months in a DFU role or currently still in the role.
• Ability to participate in oral board interviews and tabletop exercises.

Responsibilities

• Undertake DFU investigations and process electronic evidence.
• Work on assignments that may require on-call duties and overtime in Patrol.
• Assist with staffing shortages in Patrol based on department seniority.
