Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Forensics & Response team to drive digital investigations across endpoints, servers, mobile devices, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.

You will lead complex forensic investigations, preserve evidence per chain-of-custody, and collaborate with legal and technical teams to mitigate insider threats and incidents. This role is based on-site in Washington, DC and requires strong DFIR and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in digital forensics, incident response, cybersecurity engineering, or data analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS file systems (NTFS, EXT4, APFS) and forensic artifacts.
• Proven ability to document analyses and findings for executive stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with evidence handling, chain-of-custody, and note-taking.

Responsibilities

• Incident Investigations & Response: conduct digital forensic investigations across endpoints, servers, mobile devices, data platforms, and cloud infra.
• Evidence Acquisition & Preservation: collect, image, and preserve evidence per chain-of-custody and legal standards.
• Data Analytics: analyze complex queries, trace data lineage, assess residency and compliance outputs.
• Artifact & Malware Analysis: examine endpoints, file artifacts, memory dumps, and network traffic to identify root cause and TTPs.
• Reporting & Documentation: write detailed forensic reports with findings, timelines, and remediation guidance.
• Legal & Compliance Support: assist with internal investigations and coordinate with legal when needed.
• Lab & Equipment Management: maintain and upgrade the forensics lab, ensure readiness of go-kits and remote acquisition tools.
