Job summary

Agile Defense in Ashburn, VA seeks a Digital Forensics Lead to guide incident investigations for federal programs. You will preserve evidence, reconstruct events, and produce findings suitable for legal, HR, or leadership review, with emphasis on defensible chain of custody.

The role requires experience with forensic investigations in regulated environments, active CBP BI or equivalent clearance preferred, and strong communication to non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid work offered.

Qualifications

• Active CBP BI or equivalent clearance preferred; can process without one.
• Experience leading digital forensic investigations in federal or regulated environments.
• Ability to preserve chain of custody and produce legally defensible findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital forensics for the program, preserving and analyzing evidence from compromised systems.
• Reconstruct what happened and produce findings usable by incident response, threat hunt, and legal teams.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical decision makers.
