Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions is seeking a Digital Forensics Analyst to support cybersecurity operations for a federal client in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes forensic examinations, incident response, and e-discovery in a government environment.

Ideal candidates have deep tool proficiency, strong chain-of-custody practices, and the ability to deliver defensible reports. Remote/telework locations are approved per program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on digital forensics, IR, or related federal environment.
• Experience with Windows and Linux forensic examinations, memory/log analysis.
• Experience cloud forensics in Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS.
• Ability to produce legally defensible forensic reports with chain of custody.

Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic examinations across drives, mobile, servers, VMs and cloud.
• Perform forensic imaging, hashing, and chain of custody procedures.
• Perform memory forensics and log analysis to reconstruct timelines.
• Analyze malware and network traffic; support incident investigations.
• Support e-discovery and litigation hold activities; prepare reports.
