A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Digital Forensic Analyst. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in legal and technology fields, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch client service. This role offers valuable industry experience, involves domestic and international travel, and provides a hybrid work arrangement combining remote work with in-office presence at our Washington, DC location.

Duties of the Position

1. Perform complex forensic data collections and analysis both on-site and remotely.
2. Coordinate with legal teams and client IT departments to define project scope and workflows.
3. Maintain and stay updated on forensic tools and technologies.
4. Work with project management to complete projects under tight deadlines.
5. Develop and improve procedures to meet discovery requirements.
6. Provide accurate project estimates and identify upselling opportunities.
7. Contribute to process improvements and industry trend adoption.
8. Follow and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
9. Perform quality control on work products before delivery.
10. Assist with additional duties as assigned.
11. Train and guide junior team members.

Experience & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensic Science, Computer Science, or related field.
2. At least 6 years of relevant experience in forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisition, and analysis.
3. Proficiency with forensic tools like Axiom, EnCase, Cellebrite, FTK Imager, Digital Collector.
4. Understanding of filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.
5. Experience handling various digital sources in a forensically sound manner.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Willingness to travel, including international travel with a valid passport.
8. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of independent work.
9. Ability to document workflows according to industry standards.
10. Willingness to train others and develop secondary resources.
11. Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
12. Ability to manage time entries for performance metrics.
13. Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

1. Industry certifications (EnCE, CCE, GCFE, etc.).
2. Experience with litigation support applications (Relativity, Nuix, etc.).
3. Data analysis and scripting skills (SQL, VB, HTML, etc.).

Compensation

Starting at $120,000 annually, with potential for higher based on experience. Includes performance bonuses and profit-sharing.
