Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction Fab 9 200mm facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, partnering with production teams and engineers.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring manufacturing readiness. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical experience, ability to work in a cleanroom, and willingness to work alternating day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical, 4+ years or 2-year technical degree plus 4 years.
• Flexible and willing to work any shift (3-4 days alternating weeks).
• English (Written & Verbal) language fluency.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
