Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor toolsets. You will work with production teams, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic, and PC skills.

The role requires reading schematics, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining clear end-of-shift communications. Alternating week night/day shifts are possible, with strong safety and EHS compliance expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degrees or military experience plus relevant work.
• English language fluency and basic computer skills required.
• Electrical or mechanical background with semiconductor experience preferred.
• Ability to work in cleanroom environment and lift equipment over 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and manufacturing readiness.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and document events.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions and complete shift handoffs.
