Job summary
SkyWater Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of diffusion and associated fabrication equipment in a Class 1 clean room. You will install, repair, and document maintenance actions, and collaborate with shift leadership to keep production flowing.
Candidates should have deep diffusion equipment experience (TEL ALPHA, AVIZA AVP 200mm) and a strong safety/5S mindset.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in an Equipment Maintenance role within the Semiconductor industry.
- Associate degree or technical trade certificate preferred but not required; work experience considered.
- Experience with diffusion equipment and furnaces (TEL ALPHA, AVIZA AVP) preferred.
- Ability to work in a Class 1 clean room environment.
- Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and 5S culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on semiconductor fabrication equipment.
- Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and installation of equipment.
- Work with shift leadership to drive maintenance team success.
- Document maintenance performed and update logs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet manufacturing objectives.
