Job summary

Fleetwood Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Director to oversee all aspects of the dietary department, ensuring meals are safe, nutritious, and tailored to individual resident needs. You will manage staff, budgets, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with nursing and activities teams to support resident well-being.

The role requires a certified dietary manager, experience in a nursing facility, and the ability to lead a team in a 102-bed post-acute setting in Easley, SC.

Qualifications

• Certification as dietary manager required
• Certification in food service management and safety preferred
• Degree in food service management or hospitality required
• Minimum 2 years in director of food and nutrition in a nursing facility

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in the preparation and service of meals that are safe and meet dietary needs
• Maintain food quality and portion control per menus and physician orders
• Manage department budget and control costs
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff; handle disciplinary actions
• Ensure proper food storage and handling per regulations
• Coordinate dietary services with nursing and activities departments
• Visit residents to assess dietary needs and document notes
