The position emphasizes collaboration with clinical teams, resident nutrition, and QA processes while supporting professional development and cross-site opportunities within the facility network.

Qualifications

• CDM or equivalent certification required.
• Experience in long-term care dietary management preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition regulations beneficial.
• Budgeting, inventory control, and staffing experience required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Ensure meals meet physician orders and approved menus.
• Maintain compliance with dietary regulations and safety standards.
• Manage budgets, food costs, inventory, and supply ordering.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff.
• Coordinate with nursing, therapy, activities and other departments.
• Participate in QA and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide ongoing education and training for dietary staff.
