Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hammond, Louisiana is seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician. You will perform heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repairs, diagnose complex issues, and lead tasks with minimal supervision on a first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred or technical certification.
• Vocational/Technical Certification preferred.
• ASE certification advantageous.
• CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Document repairs and work performed with minimal supervision.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Adhere to safety and DOT regulations.
