AAA Truck & Trailer Services in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines on commercial semi-trucks. We provide major tools and diagnostic equipment, with hourly pay reflecting experience.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on diesel engine diagnostic and repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license. You will work in a well-equipped shop with full benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on diesel engine diagnostic and repair experience on commercial trucks.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines on commercial semi-trucks.
• Troubleshoot aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, EGR) and engine electrical faults using computer-based diagnostics.
• Repair drivetrain, air brake, suspension and steering systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance services and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and see repairs through from diagnosis to road-ready.
• Support trailer and chassis repairs when the shop needs it.
• Follow all safety procedures and shop standards.

$36.00 - $50.00 per hour

$36 to $50 an hour for experienced diesel technicians who know the craft. Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment provided.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines on commercial semi-trucks

Preferred:

• 5 or more years as a diesel technician or diesel mechanic
• ASE or manufacturer certifications
• Trailer repair experience (brakes, air systems, lighting, landing gear)
• Welding experience
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment
