Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Yakima, WA to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for bonuses through performance programs.

Candidates should have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with preferred CDL-A and a willingness to obtain CDL within 6 months. The position features first shift hours and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing automotive diesel engines including preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Must have aptitude in mechanical repair and use of diagnostic computers.
• CDL-A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue and communicate findings.
