Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Yakima, WA is seeking an Overhaul Diesel Technician to diagnose, rebuild, and repair major truck components.

This role uses state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools to keep heavy-duty vehicles running and offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The position features a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, first shift starting at 7:00 am, and opportunities for certification and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems.
• Operate diagnostic test equipment and shop computers proficiently.
• Coach/mentor other technicians and advise on repairs.
• Road test vehicles as necessary.
• Support operations and comply with safety guidelines.
