Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, engine work, HVAC, and braking systems. The role involves diagnosing multi-system issues, on-site and on-road service, and ongoing training on new technologies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and performs complex repair and maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics; complete understanding of diesel fuel systems and fuel systems diagnostics.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems; HVAC systems diagnostics and repair; aftertreatment systems and REGEN diagnostics.
• Able to diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools; line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Completes company training programs and performs other duties as assigned.
