Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Manassas, VA. The role features a second shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm), Monday–Friday with weekends off, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• 2+ years of mechanical repair experience, especially on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Complete standard and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Operate with minimal supervision and document work.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, and company policies.
